At one stage there was a hint that the username and password were the same.

I think if you knew something about me when I joined UT, you probably could guess my UT password. I'm relaxed about that; if somebody does log in and do a few searches using my PUTM, where is the victim? If they post unpleasant messages using my account (which the employee clearly did not do in this case) I'd ask Michel to remove them and I'm confident he would- as foxite would have done had a hacker guessed the tattler's password and caused mischief.

I'm asking myself what I would have done if this happened to me. Would I be annoyed? Yes, annoyed and embarrassed. Would I set out to trash the other's community reputation and contact their employer and/or customers to create FUD and irreparable damage? I hope not.
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us.
"
