What I'm actually objecting to is the "nudge-nudge, wink-wink" nature of this thread. I think if a controversy like this is being discussed:

- Each side should be heard. If this thread is indeed about AK and NN, this is not easy. My understanding is that NN has been banned from a forum where AK participates regularly, and to the best of my knowledge AK refuses to participate in this forum. Who knows, if NN was given a severance package it may have been under conditions such as not being allowed to discuss the circumstances of her dismissal. Without direct input from the principals, all I'm seeing here is 2nd (or more) -hand hearsay

- The parties involved have the right to at least be clearly identified. The OP (Jay) might argue he started this thread as a "hypothetical" but he hasn't discouraged speculation that it's about AK/NN, and he refuses to say one way or the other even when asked directly. I find anonymous, "insider-based" character assassination distasteful.

As for "what was done to Naomi", I see this as a separate issue. I have nowhere near enough reliable information about this issue to form an opinion.

To cause someone to lose their job over something that they could have just ignored? As adults, many people seem to never be far away from who they probably were in 7th grade.
