>S'ok. Truth is I wouldn't miss handing out stuff at halloween for the world. I love it. Unfortunately, for whatever reason, the other night was pretty slow. I only had 20 kids come by. A lot of people are blaming it on the new time shift that let it stay light for an extra hour this halloween. Now, what to do with all the extra little coffee crisps. Oh, well, I'm sure I'll think of something.

I also love the parade of kids to the door. Unfortunately, I've never in my adult life lived in a house where we had a parade. This year, we got one kid--the little boy across the street (who we adore).

In this house, we have no sidewalks and houses are far apart. Our previous house was on a hill and up a hill (that is, the street was steep and you climbed a lot of stairs to our house), plus not that many houses on the block.

When our kids were young enough to let us go with them, we'd leave the candy in a bowl on the front step and both go out with them, so we could see the kids in costume.
