Installing the net framework 3.5 beta2 fixed it. Ngen maybe? I really don't know. I don't have the 3.5 installed on my desktop and it works fine there, but installing the 3.5 beta2 fixed the problem on my laptop...

That brings up a question. Why, under About Visual Studio 2005, does it show my version of the microsoft .net framework as: Version 2.0.50727 SP1? That didn't change when I installed net framework 3.5 beta2... How could installing the newer version fix the problem if Visual Studio isn't even using it?

I thought the app.confg determined which version of the framework the solution uses (supportedruntime and requiredruntime), but what about the help, about visual studio then? Why does it always show version 2?

If the app.config has version 3 in it, but I have version 2 listed in the registry setting for debugging, which is used by the app and which is used by default when a new project is started?

>>Sadly, it still crashes... Strangely, it loads fine on my desktop in the office but not on my laptop. Both are VS2005 with the latest SP...
