No, definitely not. I have way too many "regular" DVDs to want to change technology. I'm sure the picture is a little better but I don't have any complaints about the DVD picture I already get.
The issue isn't really the cost of the player, is it? It isn't much good without something to play. The discs are more expensive. This seems to be a razors and razor blades scenario.
