I think that Walmart bought out Toshiba's stock of the A2's. I've stopped in 2 diff BB and they don't think they will get anymore.

But the A3 looks like in the right package, it's a better deal then the A2. A2 is 5 DVD's mail-in. I've heard the A3 (at BB) is 300 and Bourne in the box, and you can pick out 2 more in the store, with the 5 mail-in also.

>I did, Bestbuy had them very briefly online for $99 and with 10% off it was at a price point that seemed reasonable, nearly as cheap as just a normal upconverting DVD player. They over sold them so I am not sure if my order will be cancelled or if they are going to send the A3 instead.

>I never buy DVDs, I use Netflix and they offer both formats but I hear Blockbuster is Blu-ray only. The winner is not clear but I would put my money on the cheaper alternative. If I have wasted $90 for a couple years of use I am ok with that.

>>I've been avoiding the HD-DVD/Blu-Ray wars.

>>But the wars have just heated up a bit with the Toshiba A2 HD-DVD player being sited at $99 at Walmart. The problem is that this news has gotten far and wide. So you have to be at Walmart in the morning, when the truck arrives to make this purchase.
>>
>>Circuitcity.com has it at $129. So it's a little easier.
>>
>>Has anyone gone ahead with this here?
