Uh-oh. You shouldn't have told me that you're my new contact for male toy info.

I think I'm going to check one more time on the Bestby deal to see if they do sell the A3 with 9 discs at $199. If not order the A2 from Circuitcity at $129 before they sell out.

I was talking to another gearhead, who told me his father-in-law when to the local Walmart on Thursday morning, when this started. They had received 211 A2 units that morning, and they were gone in 1 hour.

So I think I'd better jump on something.

> I am a real AV Gadget head. At 129.00 an HD drive is defnitely worth it.
>Be warned that that drive is capable of only 1080i. Which is not a real big deal. 1080i looks great.

>I have the HD Add-on drive for my 360 and have half considered buying a seperate HD Drive because the 360 is way too loud IMO. Its not that bad though when you have your THX thumping Transformers at 100db though <g>

>>I've been avoiding the HD-DVD/Blu-Ray wars.

>>But the wars have just heated up a bit with the Toshiba A2 HD-DVD player being sited at $99 at Walmart. The problem is that this news has gotten far and wide. So you have to be at Walmart in the morning, when the truck arrives to make this purchase.
>>
>>Circuitcity.com has it at $129. So it's a little easier.
>>
>>Has anyone gone ahead with this here?
