On the last point, I am not sure what goes on now but there did not used to be any such conversation between Microsoft and MVPs. At least not all of them. They just announced it. I am sure there were some MVPs who offered their input but I can tell you that in 6 years or so as an MVP they never asked me once. Not complaining about that because I didn't expect them to ask me. It's their program.
