I personally don't remember the Cards in Chicago. Strangely enough though, it wasn't that long ago.

The Cards moved to St. Louis in 1960. That's certainly well within the active memory span of several of us here. I was 12 at the time and, while I attended my first geezer gathering several years ago I'm not the oldest guy here.

I don't know why I can't remember this move. I distinctly remember the Rochester Royals (currently Sacramento Kings) moving to Cincinatti in 1957 and, a few years later, the Lakers moving from Minneapolis to LA, the Warriors moving from Philly to SF, and the Nationals moving from Syracuse to Philly (the 76ers).
