I understand your concern and below are my thoughts on this topic. Personally, I do not wish to do anything negative against another person. It is a matter of my value system.
Why not have those interested eMail AK and MA, and let them know your views on this subject? I am not sure of what the end result might be. You could be terminated from your employment as a gesture of your concern on this topic. If you are interested you could contact Microsoft and recommend NN as a MVP.
Others have already begun to take action to protect themselves including you! :) Remove reference to your place of employment and where you live. Then you will have a better chance of protecting yourself and expressing your opinion.
The entire topic is distasteful. It is like living in a den of cobras. You do not know from whom or when a strike might occur. This is a “community”? It is more than dysfunctional! Perhaps a new category of developer could be created indicating who hurt others the most for the year. Thomas, last week I sent Andy and Marcia some emails, essentially asking them for their side of the story.
If you'll recall, earlier in the year when Naomi did what she did, I urged her to "come clean" and admit/confess her actual actions. She allowed me to post her explanation on her behalf. I thought it needed to be done, to set the record straight. Well, I also felt it was necessary in this case as well, so I asked the Krameks for their side - I asked them to verify that they indeed sent the letters, and if so, why. While I received replies back from Andy, I did not receive any real explanation or response to my question. Of course, I don't know if they "cannot" provide a response, or if they chose not to answer me.
As much as I sympathize with Peter's suggestion here, I don't think I agree with it. I think the best thing to do is to continue pursuing the facts, and hold people accountable here in the online community.
