Again, there are some quotes in there regarding MVP status that are rather sad to read.

The line, "Too bad you are not an MVP - you could take over for him.", coupled with a previous quote of "IMO, that is part of the reason that I have been awarded the MVP award since 1999"....it has the feel (IMO) of MVP status being waved in the air.

I'm not crazy about starting sentences with "I would never utter the words such-and-such", but I can't imagine talking that way.

This coming weekend, I'm doing a few .NET sessions at a CodeCamp at UConn, and then I'm speaking at a user group in Baltimore the following week. I always try to be very generous with my presentations, offerings, and time at these events - but I think the recent events will make me want to do even more.

Maria is correct in her quoting of Dan Freeman, that one of the marks of a good MVP is being able to answer not only the current question, but the next two or three that might follow - and I'll add to that, without being irritating.

(And in fairness, some of Naomi's words in these posts are anything but 'taking the high road' either).
