There is indeed a mainstream culture here that's based on the saying "Mind your own business". Opinion Yes, Action No. Naomi may well be a victim of this culture. If more people here and elsewhere would have put more real pressure on AK and MA half a year ago, AK would likely not have dared to send that letter.

It's not about a vendetta. It's about a preparedness to take action now and then. Sometimes words are not enough. Having said that, action might of course also take the form of a lobby as you propose: MVPs and others who do their utter best to find a job for Naomi. Or they might show preparedness to write a reference letter.
