I thought partial pregnancy was impossible, it's either .t. or .f., but I learned that there's something in between. So while monopoly by definition excludes others, in case of Catholics - they lost it long ago. Medical profession, then biologists and probably a few others still use Latin. They may still have the monopoly in the religion market (of ideas, that is :).
