Why would I insult you, Denis? I don't think I've ever insulted anyone on this site (except for one particular episode where someone really got my back up). I merely provided another meaning for the initials M V P, meaning "most violently, openly condeming, meanness of spirit", referring to the apparent true character of certain MVP(s), as demonstrated by their actions, the subject of these threads - nothing to do with you.

If I wanted to insult you (seriously, that is) I'd do it "to your face", in plain English (or French). Sure I've called you names in the past, tongue in cheek, in the spirit of entente cordiale.

>Not sure but your reply felt like an insult. I wrote felt because I didn't understand what it meant. I'll never tell you that again. In the future if you want to insult me at least find common words on do it in french.

>>>Why remove their MVP status. Many persons don't know what they did. If they don't get their MVP status many developers in the commjunity might just think "hmmm they did'nt get it this year... oh well" and then life goes on.
>>>
>>>Instead why not create a new category for MVPs.
>>
>>most vituperative pettiness
>>
>>>MVPs gthat could have you lose your job. Then eveybody knows what happened. And as a Bonus perhaps they would be the only ones in the world in that category. Who knows perhaps they'd like that. When you put so many efforts to accomplish what they did perhaps you want the recognition.
>>>
>>>As for Naomi being an MVP only MS can give it to her. Naomi has always been helpful but still it's up to MS to recognize that. I wish that she'll get it because to me she would deserve it.
>>>
>>>>I'm considering to write an email to MS, asking them to think at least twice before they again award the MVP status to AK and MA. This is not nice of me, I know. But here are some facts and arguments:
>>>>
>>>>1) AK has put his MVP status in the signature of the letter and in this case I regard that as an abuse (see: http://hyp.viafox.nl/ut/nnak.pdf).
>>>>
>>>>2) A MVP can be expected to not only be superior in technical knowledge, but also to adhere to good rules of conduct. I'm of opinion that they haven't in this case.
>>>>
>>>>3) The MVP program tries to stimulate the community members being helpful to the community, esp. in a technical way. It is exactly that type of attitude that AK and MA tried to frustrate in the case of NN. On many occasions they intimidated her to refrain from being present in the forums so much time. The letter to the employer is the ultimate proof of this. Also they criticized her for the quality of her answers, at the same time not accepting her occasional criticism of their answers, thus further intimidating her.
>>>>
>>>>
>>>>Also I'm considering to propose MS to give NN a MVP award for the coming year. A collection of her many contributions of the past year in the various forums makes very clear that her knowledge and willingness to help are exceptional.

>>>>If you're interested we might send the email on behalf of more community members. It may be that you don't agree with one of my considerations, that's fine with me. Or perhaps you have your own arguments and want to write your own email, that's also fine with me. Or perhaps you want to criticize my arguments here first, that's also fine with me. I can be reached via private message, private email and here publicly.
