I have VFP 5.0, and just for the sake of being up-to-date, would like to install 5.0a. However, Microsoft's VFP site says that "Visual Studio Service Packs 2 and 3 contain all of the fixes to the Visual FoxPro executable that were included in Visual FoxPro 5.0a. However, 5.0a included updates to several wizards and genmenu.prg. These updates are not included in the Visual Studio Service Packs and are available here for Visual FoxPro users who installed Visual Studio Service Pack 2 or 3, but did not install Visual FoxPro 5.0a."

Should I take this to mean that I need to have already installed a VS Service pack? I don't have Visual Studio, just VFP. And I previously intalled the patch to 5.0 that fixed the setup wizard.

Would it be safe for me to install the 5.0a upgrade?
