I've come across some information about opening a socket, then leaving it open, then opening another one that you actually use for communications. We are having a problem in that our "listening" port is closing once it stops receiving from the sending application. We don't want it to close, but something is causing it to. We are thinking that we need to do more than just open a port to listen. Does it need to be wrapped in a socket, then something more? We are using MSWinsck.ocx to handle this.
