>The contributions of an MVP should provide real VALUE. I believe the people that choose the MVP look at more than just the frequency. Naomi's posts were numerous because she had an unfair advantage, but IMO they were rarely as technically important as the contributions of MVPs.

And how did you evaluate that she had an unfair advantage? You think she's the only one to benefit from unfair advantages? Do you know if MS knows that some persons could benefit from unfair advantages and because of that they don't get their MVP status?

>Frankly, I don't get along with Andy Kramek, despite wishing otherwise. We've never "clicked". However, even so, I cannot support this idea that he and/or Marcia be defrocked. Their contributions to the community far, far outweigh those of Naomi.

This could be true but even so I'm not sure that MS (if they ever hear about it) will like to have heartless MVPs.

>Conversely, I feel sorry for Naomi. I know she doesn't have a lot of self-esteem and have told her to toughen up before. She even asked me (privately) if I thought her statements to Marcia on MSDN (I think?) were inappropriate. I concurred with the webmaster that it was not her place to criticize Marcia's (or for that matter) anyone's posts.

I'm sure those mentions will help her build up her self-esteem.

>Naomi, Andy and Marcia harmed the VFP online communities by dragging the communities into this dispute. Employers must now be thinking to curtail access. That hurts every one of us.

>Recriminations at this point are a waste of time. Let's get back to the purpose of this site, sharing information.

That's what we're doing... sharing information. Not technical all the time though. There's a good side to those threads. To make others aware of the questionable behaviors that led to a human being losing a job. If MS did'nt care in the past about those kinds of behaviors from their MVPs perhaps what happened with the Krameks will make MS review its position when they award someone with an MVP status. So if you don't really care you can stay out of these discussions but who are you to decide it's a waste of time?
