>Afraid you are right about Romeo. I think he's a good coach during the week but he doesn't realy think fast enough at game time. He's been known to have a lot of trouble with picking the time to throw the red flag. ( he did win the call earlier on the remarkable Brylon Edwards catch in the end zone, but challenging that one was pretty much a no brainer.

>But I can tell you Cleveland is encouraged by the Browns going down fighting to Pittsburgh instead of just saying "Thank you sir, may I please have another" I'm hoping we see them again in the playoffs. I think this year the Browns are for real If the defense pulls it together ( and we ever learn to pressure the QB ) we're gonna have something - certainly something more than we thought we had at the beginning of the year.

>Yeah, Romeo really blew it. I'm sure the Brown fans are happy right now about being competitive, but the truth is that they could have WON the game had Romeo not royally screwed up with the timeouts. WHEN ARE NFL HEAD COACHES GOING TO LEARN THAT YOU SAVE YOUR 2ND HALF TIMEOUTS?????

>Cleveland would be tied for 1st in the WC and the division with a win today. They could still make the playoffs, but something tells me that this game will come back to haunt them.

On the plus side, I think they found out Sunday as a team what it is like to really expect to beat a very very good team and really feel that each thing you do on the field counts and may be the difference. Except Josh Cribbs of course. Can't see how he could have done anything other than what he did except maybe hold a gun to the OCs head to give him a bigger role in the offense <s>

Though a good deal is too strange to be believed, nothing is too strange to have happened.
- Thomas Hardy

Half the harm that is done in this world is due to people who want to feel important. They don't mean to do harm-- but the harm does not interest them. Or they do not see it, or they justify it because they are absorbed in the endless struggle to think well of themselves.

-- T. S. Eliot
Democracy is two wolves and a sheep voting on what to have for lunch.
Liberty is a well-armed sheep contesting the vote.
- Ben Franklin

Pardon him, Theodotus. He is a barbarian, and thinks that the customs of his tribe and island are the laws of nature.
