You're right.. 10000 is nothing, I've tables with 500,000 records on my VFP databases and they aren't a problem.
Anyway I've just reduced the fields retrieved through SPT to those effectively displayed inside the grid.. smart, isn't it? <g>

Result: it's fast.. blazing fast.. what I was expecting from it. :)
