I am using a commercial graphics package for pictures on command buttons. The package contains many different image formats but the transparent .png files seem to work best except... Sometimes there is a white aura visible around the image, particularly small or irregularly shaped ones. The developer of the graphics package says the problem is with the button, not the image, and I'm inclined to believe him since the same images display perfectly on most other backgrounds. He suggests I use the 24-bit bitmap format and set a mask property for the magenta background. There doesn't appear to be a mask property for the picture. I've seen others here suggest creating masks but how, exactly, do I do that in this situation and how do I use it once it has been created? There are 3 to 4 dozen images in the project so it may well turn out to be more effort than it is worth. I just thought I'd ask before giving up on it.
