Thanks, Rick. This is much clearer. Do you know any document (from Microsoft?) that gives the specifications/requirements for an ActiveX? (eg which are the interfaces that MUST be supported, the allowed types for parameters and return values, etc.) I know that the minimum requirement for a COM object is to implement the IUnknown, but which are the minimum requirements for an ActiveX?

Am I right to say that Microsoft is using now the "ActiveX" term as an equivalent (almost equiv) name for COM (and even DCOM)?
