Here's the status of the Universal Thread upcoming features.

1. The dedicated listserver will run on a new powerful server in two weeks. It is running fine for now but we want to give more power to it.

2. The Universal Thread Client will release a first version which will allow the conferencing features only. This is a feature that is really in demand from our members and we want to give more power to it by using a real time conference engine. We have the Web version right now, but that's not good enough if we compare to IRC. We expect to have the first version of the Universal Thread Client with conferencing features by Christmas.

3. We have installed an IRC server on the Universal Thread server. We are gonna test it this week and if everything is fine, we will be able to use that media for conferencing until the release of the client. Those of you who would like to do some testing with me are welcome to join tonight at 8h00 pm EDT (Montreal time) and select www.transformation.com as the IRC server. Port is the default at 6667 and the channel is #foxpro.

4. Extended features for Premier Universal Thread Membership will get online next week. You'll be able to enter your professional information, like a resume, so others will be able to search for consultant, etc. A special icon will appear beside your information on top of each message if you will complete this new section. You'll also be able to send a bigger pictures, etc.

5. The search has been shutted down for a while. We expect to be able to put it back online by the end of the week.

6. New features will get online shortly. There is a huge demande for the Web interface so we're gonna push it to the limit and try to respond to each of your request.

7. Listserv: Again, there is no UNSUBSCRIBE. To do this, please log on to the Web interface and change the information in your personal information. The average has grown up to 100+ messages a day so some of you might not like it to receive all those messages part of your email each day.

8. Virtual Universal Thread Christmas party :) More to come...

9. Job postings section is gonna be removed and replace by a category in each of the actual section. Messages created until now will be swap to the appropriate section.

10. Search is gonna be powered. We received many requests for that until now so we are gonna put more options in it.
