>>Here in Norway we have a big problem with especially Russians who perform small criminal acts and make sure to be caught. The standard in our prisons is much higher than in their own homes, and the food is much better. So they prefer to spend some time in our prisons, especially in the coldest part of the winters. I would not think that O.J.'s situation was that bad.
>>
>>Actually, that happens sometimes in the U.S. as well (though I'm sure O.J. has better living conditions outside of prison). I read somewhere that many young females who become pregnant and are below the poverty level will commit a crime serious enough to spend time in prison, where they'll get better medical care.

>>(I'd hate to think that's the solution to our health care issue...for people to commit more crimes!)

>>That reminds me of an old Married with Children episode (not sure if you're familiar with the show). Al Bundy was being arrested for something, and upon learning that he'd get three hot meals a day in the slammer, smiled at the police and said, "take me, I'm yours!" ;)

>Married with children is also sent in Norway. I think it's sad that Ed O'Neill, who plays Al Bundy, played so well that most people think he is so stupid, and because of that the film companiew won't give him any important roles. That's a great contrast from Billy Crystal who was in a similar situation. After Soap he had the word "Gay" virtually stamped on his had. But still he managed to get rid of that stamp, and had a great career.

O'Neill had a good role in the recent HBO series "John From Cincinnati". The show was canceled at the end of its first season but it got him back in the public eye, as a character other than Bundy.
