The cynic in me says it just did not catch the xBase splinter desease...
But Rainer tries to keep local user groups running as well and also with his publications helps those devs
not willing to read in english - there are more of those than I had imagined.
Even on dfPug he is not the most steady poster, but kept those fragile programmers ego's from fragmenting the user group.
He definately "moved" more than anybody else over here in the german (speaking) vfp part of the world, even if he is not visible on UT. He also brought vfp to a few big customers by his presentations at CEBIT, which is a LARGE computer fair not devoted to games<g>.
>Ok, that's a pretty big deal. Still, it must be one of those "top of the pyramid" kinds of things; known well to certain segment, but not to the general population of developers. I assumed that the majority of Foxpro geeks were here in the USA, but even Dragan only vaguely knew of him.

>>I can't say how much he's on the forum there, but Rainer runs the German FoxPro User Group that runs the site and sponsors the German DevCon. It is, and has been for years, the largest FoxPro user group in the world (except maybe VFUG, but I'm not sure it counts the same way).

>>>So, the German one must be huge. He belongs there, right?
