>>>>I certainly can't speak for Microsoft .. but I hope they address this and some of the other bugs SP2 introduced (or failed to fix). All I can do is make my issues known publically and hope that enough people scream and yell and put pressure on Microsoft!

>>>Yes, it would be very unprofessional of Microsoft to no longer support a long-lived and successful language with serious bugs introduced in their final Service Pack.

>>Did I say Microsoft can't be trusted? I'd like to retract that for this occasion: they can be trusted to screw a few bits (which they won't fix ever) in a product which they are abandoning. Now I wonder about a few things in my trusty old W2K which stopped working in 2006 and forced me to finally move to XP.

>Now with some serious show-stopper bugs in SP02, it seems that Sedna will be dead as well. My understanding is that Sedna depends on SP02.

John Koziol was telling my how Calvin and Aleksey (sp?) could code VFP in their sleep. Well, I know they're good, but my point to him was that they are presently stretched thin, they are not working on VFP as much (meaning they get a little rusty), and they don't have the testing support that they need. How can they turn out their best work in such a situation? I see nothing that makes me want to move to SP2 at the present time.
