Since we are on the subject thought I'd relay some results of a test I did this weekend.

Is code faster if put in the main.prg file as a udf or in a method section of the form.

Answer:

Code in the main.prg file (even a very large 600K prg file) is 13% faster than the same code in a method. Why? I have no idea but that's what I found.

While 13% isn't a big deal if you are doing SQLs with UDFs I guess it would be better do put the udf as a function in the main.prg as opposed to in a method.
