I wouldn't and I don't. I.e. I'd never buy a DVD if I knew in advance that I can't skip the ads. And I'd never buy anything from Disney. I've been in Orlando for six weeks this year, and Disney got just one wrong turn to Buena Vista avenue (it looks soooooo artificial, even for Florida!) and getting back on track as soon as I could.

DVD players are also computers, and the processors are something on the very low end, from the times when the spec was written. I've seen some of the language used to code the DVD menus - compared to that, GWBasic is AI :).
