By putting the code in the form class activate everything works; or at least it did when I removed this line in the Init():

activate window (This.name) in screen noshow

As you are always in the thick of these questions, are you aware of any issues with updates or patches that could have caused this to appear over the last few months ? It never used to happen because I've never had need of Marcia's patch until now.
