It doesn't seem to have really affected him because he has paid almost none of the settlement to the Goldmans. He moved to Florida, where his residence is shielded from civil judgments, as is his NFL pension. I don't think they can get to the money he makes from memorabilia shows, either. The bottom line is he still owes the Goldmans something like $38 million. The justice system, both criminal and civil, is having as much trouble corralling O.J. as NFL tacklers used to.

>Thas had to be one of the weirdest case in the history of USA law.

>After that has to pay huge amount of cash to the Goldman's. Still he can afford to practically live like a king. At least it did'nt seem to really have affected him.

>Weirder and weirder. And now that new case is showing up. Hmm perhaps another cas chase coming up soon. Let's all stay tuned on CNN <g>

>>The glove! They must be teaching that masterly piece of courtroom sorcery in law school. Give Johnnie Cochran credit, even though he basically got a murderer acquitted. "If it doesn't fit, you must acquit." SO dumb of Marcia Clark to let Cochran pull that stunt in the first place. Anyone who isn't dumber than a bag of hammers ((c) K. Goff) knows what happens to leather when it gets saturated with liquid -- particularly one of your thicker liquids such as blood -- and then left sitting around for a year or two in an evidence room. It stiffens and shrinks. Not to mention the fact that O.J. was given the floor to "demonstrate" solo how small they were for him. Wow, that was scientific!
>>
>>Of course, if the jury had been interested in scientific evidence they might have given more credence to the facts that O.J.s blood was found at the crime scene and the victims' blood was found in his vehicle and his home. Not to mention that he had motive, opportunity, and no alibi. Oh, wait, he had an alibi, he was practicing golf chip shots in his back yard in the dark.... Grrr. I am still burned up about that trial over 10 years later. Justice was not served.
>>
>>So if the Juice gets it in the nads for barging into the hotel room of a scam artist, a heavily armed posse in tow -- no shots fired, no one injured, no one killed -- that's pretty much fine with me. It evens out. The wheels of justice turn small and queer, as Hunter Thompson once observed, but sometimes they do tick over in due time.

>>
>>>Was'nt there a paif of gloves somewhere on the crime scene that could be used as evidence. It the gloves does'nt fit... part 2
