That's exactly what I'm talking about. There was a lot of buzz about this way back but somehow it never took off. The idea is fantastic (at least to me). I could just imagine that had they continued with the pace of other technologies (CPU, GPU, RAM, LCD even solid state storage) I could be sitting at my desk typing this while looking at a virtual 60" monitor running 1920x1200 thru some normal looking glasses.
