I'll be damned if I am going to develop applications on my cell phone. Or write documentation. Or play cool games (like HALO). Or read a bunch of email or write any.

I make it a point to have a much monitor real-estate as possible on my desk. Currently that is my 17inch dell laptop screen coupled with a 24inch dell panel. My fingers fit well on a good Microsoft keyboard. I don't have to hit the 3 key 3 times to type the letter F. I don't have to have my fingers sharpened to hit individual blackberry keys.

Handhelds along with handwriting recognition got out of the lab in the '80s and were supposed to take the world by storm. They do have their uses for portable data collection, quick checks of mail and messages when a real computer isn't available, and causing wrecks when using them on the road. Tablets were supposed to be worldbeaters too.

Not to me.
