I concur. I have actually run VFP apps like this. Access is really fast and so is data since all that is stored on a server. The only drawback is that you have to design screens small enough but that is simple because you only have to do that once and then create a class and reuse it.

Only drawback is that you must be connected to the server - no standalone. But IMHO this is the better option at the moment till Christof has released Guineu.
