>>>I am selling my used Nintendo DS Lite on Ebay. The retail price of this is 129.99. I see my auction is up to 123 or so, with 4.60 shipping tacked on. Can anybody think of a reason why somebody would pay 127.60 for a used DS when they could pay 129.99 for a new one? AFAIK, they aren't in short supply. I am getting a little nervous about it.

>>I looked into this in DETAIL last year for my daughter's bday - couldn't believe how people will bid their heads off and not consider the p&p. The only bargs were from HK and such, with high shipping cost (and no trust!). Worth chancing your arm, with a hefty reserve price.

>The idiot that bid 123 bucks contacted me and said that a friend placed a bid under his account by mistake. I am pretty irritated, since when I canceled his bid it went fom 123 to 91. It is back to 111 though.

I forgot I'd bid on a tent last year and bid on another identical. Was praying I'd be outbid but wasn't, so ended up with 2 tents the same - DU-UH! Had to store one for a year till I resold it on eBay this summer and just about broke even. Strange thing was mine was a 2004/5 version whereas there were 20006 and 7 versions (much improved) that sold for less, That was another case were people were paying, incl. p&p, as much as the new buy-now ones (with free p&p).

- Worry is the interest you pay, in advance, for a loan that you may never need to take out.
