I toured Dachau when I was stationed in the Bavarian region of Germany in the mid 80s. One of the reasons it is amazing to me that any leader of any country could dispute that the holocaust occurred and be taken seriously by anyone. (Along with too much evidence and a grandfather who had to participate in the liberation of a camp) There is a stone wall with the words "Never Again" in several languages on it and some effects left in place that I would rather not mention. However, they are there and preserved for a reason. I will never forget it. The liberation of Dachau was a great event tainted by the actions of the Americans against the German guards afterwards. I have mixed and disturbed feelings about that.
