>In the past three weeks, I have had two users complain of sporadic "Error reading file / error # 1104" messages. This on a stable APP, which is used by literally hundreds of work stations at many locations. In pursuing the problem, I have Isolated the particular differences of these machines -- both have the new 100 megahertz bus speed on the motherboard, both connect to a Novell File Server using Etherlink 100 base-T ( fast ethernet ), and both are running Windows '95 B. Other stations on the same server never get the message, these include users with Windows '95 B and 100 base-T ( fast ethernet ), in addition, there are other workstations running Windows '95 and '95a, and NT both with 10 base-T and 100 base-T.

I've seen this problem. Turned out the network cabling was bad.
