I have taken your advice, and turned buffering on. I'll try it on one table update to see if I have any problems.

My form has a listbox at the top listing the table records, (lookup table records), and command keys to add/change/delete entries in the list. I'm using the tablename.fieldname as the control source for a text box. What do I do when a new record is to be added? I'll want to have blank text boxes for the user to enter the data required.
