Yiou are right, SEARCH does not show the one I get from ? SET("Resource",1).

So I quit VFP and deleted those (Foxuser.*)

STILL I can NOT Open a file of any kind in VFP

This is certainly a strange one!!!! What is worst of all is that it basically closes down my work with my computer since the main thing I am using now is VFP.

VFP is a great product, I wish it was not going AWAY. Well NOT going away, just stopped at Ver 9.

I really appreciate the help I get at UT and I went ahead and paid for a year even though I am NOT a high end user.

The level of support at UT is well (VERY well) worth the cost!!!!
