I can't advise you - I don't know either the motherboards or the vendor. I'm quite happy with PCNut as a vendor; Humphrey has stood behind his product, and sells decent components. Three of the last 4 systems purchased for myself here have come from him, as well as several of the Web servers in my office.

Both prices seem quite good; I'd want to know more about the video card. I'd worry a bit about the first system; with a Pentium 166, you're buying well behind the base entry-level machine (at this point, I'd consider anything from a K6./200 through a PII/266 to be an entry-level box, with an anticipated useful life of ~2 years without significant upgrading.) It's going to be a significant improvement over your 486, obviously. In any case, as long as the systems work once you've upgraded, you'll be much better off than you would have been with any of the 486 upgrade processors.
