The easiest way is to copy the ocx file to the system directory (Windows\System or WinNT\System32 or etc) and:

REGSVR32 AnActiveX.ocx

will register it.

You can also register it:
- programatically (see my FAQ on this subject)
- from VFP (the same used to add an ActiveX to a form)
- using the setup program
