I added that call and it did the trick!
BTW I did not do any binding; code that do drawings is all in click method of a dummy button but it uses ImageCanvas.graphics object to do the drawings.

Perhaps there will be no problem to do drawing in prg using canvas/graphics object references and then simply call ImageCanvas.draw as you pointed out.
