>I need to create a generic PC spec for a Web server to be used for my ASP.NET application and VFP Application. I got a sample PC spec from one of the existing customers where they purchased PC with the following processor:
>
>1. HP XEON 5060 3.2GHZ DC PROCESSOR FOR DL380 G5
>HP 1GB (2 x 512MB) FBD PC2-5300 Memory Kit
>3. As far as hard driver, the spec is as following:
>HP 72GB SAS 10K RPM 2.5IN HOT-PLUGHDD
>What is SAS 10k? Should I just state that the server should have a minimum of 72Gb Hard Drive?

You should define boundries of use/no of customers/visits/hits whatever to go with such a sheet<g>.
ON a Webserver slow quad core is better than fast double core. Add RAM: today I would set 2 gig as lower boundry, ask for 4 Gig. 2.5 Disks are slower and 10K makes up in speed but costs way too much. get 2 3.5 and RAM for caching, will be faster. 2.5 is only needed for racked servers where space is factured into the bill <g>.
