I'm not a networrk guru, so bear with me.
I had Windows XP home on my Dell at home. I reinstalled to Win XP Professional. I made no hardware changes.
Now, I have no sound and the network adpater is no longer working. Device Manager was showing
conflicts on the network adapter, the graphics and the sound.
I put in a NIC that I had, and then I updated to SP2. Once I did that, the graphics problem was
solved and I was able to adjust my resolution.
However, I still have to use the NIC and I have no sound. Every time I reboot, I get prompted to
install the new hardware. It fails on both.
Anyone know what's going on here?
Thanks
