Hi Guy.

>But interestinly, today I wanted to make some changes to config.fpw and another .prg I have in the VFP program folder. I would normally just MODI COMM or MODI FILE to make the updates. But Vista won't let me save the changes because the files are protected (obviously).

You have a few solutions:

- Run VFP as administrator: right-click its icon and choose Run as Administrator.

- Copy these files to a writable folder, edit them, then copy them back (which will require elevation).

- As Craig mentioned, allow them to be virtualized. Not a good solution because then it's very confusing when you forget they're virtualized and see the code in the original file but the one that executes does something different (because it's the virtualized copy that's executed).
