Just because things seem to be a certain way, does not mean they can't be changed. If that were the case our boots would be in the backs of cars and we would be smoking fags instead of cigarettes. Illegals are here, but I think that we can change the fact that they aren't being forced to leave. I think there are things going on now to do just that. Doesn't mean that I have to sit back and watch if I see something I don't like or think is unfair. I will continue to argue against amnesty except in rare exceptional cases. Anyone who is here illegally knew what could happen when they crossed. Talk about woulda/shoulda/coulda, now there's a good example of that. Now that there here, they wonder why we don't just roll over and let them have it all. I like Mike's simplified version of breaking into the country.

I don't disagree with your hopes and dreams, but frankly, I think they are nothing more than dreams. At some point, reality has to be faced. The choice to kick them all out is simply not in the cards no matter how much you want it. Even if your government wanted to do it (which they don't really), practically speaking, it's not doable.

How many years will you wait pretending that your government is going to buck the industries that depend on illegals before you accept the reality that they are there to stay? Oh, you may kick a few out, but not enough to matter, and the ones you dump will be quickly replaced.

Since the decisions that you really want, imho, are not going to happen (at least not in this lifetime), then at some point, other decisions have to be made in order to try to make the best of the reality in which you actually live. Finding ways for them to sustain themselves rather than living off your taxes is not the worst way to go, and education is one of the best ways to do it.

Plan A isn't happening, so it's time to go with plan B as the next best evil.
