>>>The problem, John, is that we have had a Republican president for almost 8 years now. What has he done about it?

>>I hear ya, and you're preaching to the choir. Consider the alternative though. If John Kerry were president, his first official act would have been to surrender to France!<g> Once again, this election will be like most - you will be voting for the lesser of evils, as you perceive it. Where it not for the fact that each vote is so critical, I'd write Ronald Reagan's name in!

>I don't care Republican/Democrat/Bull Moose... I just want somebody that will get the job done. I have voted once in my life, and it was for Not Bush. I am going to tune out the commercials, the mudslinging, and all the marketing crap, look for a good website that compares and contrasts their views, and find the candidate who best fits what I believe in, even if it is Hilary (I have no idea what anybody stands for yet, so that was a joke).

A good friend, who happens to be an industrial psychologist, once told me that the past is the best predictor of the future. He was also one of my college professors. I think that is one of the all time "truisms." Having said that, I cannot vote for a Democrat for president, particularly Billary. I have not been overly impressed with Bush, but the alternative was not acceptable. One thing, make that two things, that Bush has done is make outstanding selections for the Supreme court. You and I might have a hard time owning our pistols, shotguns and rifles if the liberals get control of the Supremes! Being a hunter should be enough to make you vote for the Republican side. Otherwise, you'll be hunting tofu at the local beans and sprouts market....
