Well Tamar of course. When was the last time you had dealings with the Social Security Administration or any other branch of government on a personal basis? :o) I've also seen reports that state that numbers will run out around 2075 (quite a ways down the road) and others that yes, in some areas of the country, the numbers have already reached their max. Who knows for sure!??? I do know know that it was one of the reasons cited for refusing my request - actually the verbage was closer to 'limited supply of available digits' or something like that. I have the letter on file for when the whole legal mess gets resolved one day (hopefully). I've also seen reports that ssns are not re-used and that is bologna. I know of at least 3 people who had new #s assigned to them when it was discovered that their number belonged to a deceased person and it created problems when they started applying for credit, trying to purchase on credit, etc. My daughter's was discovered in middle school. It just so happens that the school used ssns back then for identifiers and her ssn belonged to a deceased teacher who was in the same system. Go figure.
>Who you going to believe? Tamar or a branch of our government? <g>

>>Now that is interesting because that is the written response you receive when from the social security administration when you apply for a new ssn...

>>>That's just not true. They haven't exhausted the whole set. Last time I checked, they were only into the 77x series for the first three digits.
