I visit a site that has links to local newspaper football stories. I listened to the 2nd quarter on the car radio and the announcers didn't say anything about the quality of the refs.

This is the only article I could find that mentioned refs, and just barely. All the other articles in the GB newspapers just say they got smoked by, at least last nite, a much better team:

>>>Hopefully, when these teams meet in the NFC championship they'll have a veteran officiating crew. What I witnessed was just awful. The crew last night was run by rookie official John Parry and it showed:
>>>
>>>-Misinterpretation of an interception as a catch
>>>-Missed a running into the kicker
>>>-Didn't flag TO for using popcorn as a prop during TD celebration
>>>-Multiple missed facemasks
>>>-Screwing up the line of scrimmage by 10 yards after a challenge
>>>-Horrible pass interference call
>>>
>>>If I'm not mistaken this same crew also worked the Indy-Pats game earlier this year. Why oh why is the NFL scheduling a rookie crew for the 2 biggest regular season games of the year?
>>>
>>>Note : I did not have a dog in this fight but as a Steeler fan I've been on both sides of awful officiating.
>>
>>Any of this stuff corrected by the instant replay people, or was another Cowboys opponent cheated out of a win?

>-Misinterpretation of an interception as a catch : Not reviewable due to forward progress being stopped. Terrible.
>-Missed a running into the kicker : No flag, no review
>-Didn't flag TO for using popcorn as a prop during TD celebration : no flag
>-Multiple missed facemasks : again no flag
>-Screwing up the line of scrimmage by 10 yards after a challenge : eventually got this right
>-Horrible pass interference call : This was the worst. The nearest official doesn't throw a flag and it tapping his legs to indicate that their legs got tied up. Then the officials confer and after 15 seconds or so they then throw the flag. PI is not reviewable. Just plain awful.

>Having said that, I don't know if the Packers would've been able to win regardless. The first and last penalties are very significant in that Dallas went on to score TDs on both, but they were having very little trouble moving the ball. KGB and Woodson were badly missed by the Packers D.
