We are using CommTools in a factory application and it works well. A barcode scan in this building produces a label in that building, open orders in the morning, process thru the day, typing via keyboard between operators when they need to, batches periodically and on demand. We use zmodem, I assume kermit works fine too. We are on a 56k direct connect line now but were using 56k modems last month :) Tech support has been good too.
