Kornheiser said it best "Tragic Inevitability". A bad timeout, a fortuitous false start, a blown assignment, a touchy holding call. The Ravens were playing with all the emotion they had and the Patriots were methodically continuing their work. Quite a dichotomy was on display at the end of that game.

There are a lot more complaints about the refs in this game than the GB/DAL game that I criticized before. Throw in the tough finish to the CLE/ARI game and I think this is a very bad week for officiating in the NFL. Every Wednesday Total Access on NFL Network has the NFL's head of officiating on to go over the controversial calls of the week. I've already set my DVR.
