I think you know I was replying to the other Kevin. What I was responding to was the call for "an eye for an eye" and immediate execution.

I have not really kept up with the Sean Taylor investigation beyond headlines but is it really first degree murder? Somehow I got the idea this was a bungled home burglary by some young knuckleheads, not the act of someone who went to the house with the intention of killing Sean Taylor.

One thing that has occurred to me is that Taylor might still be with us if his self-defense weapon of choice had been a gun instead of a machete. Good lord, I'm channeling John Harvey....
